MAKE WISE USE OF YOUR FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES
It is always important to know that great fortunes can be made but if not handled carefully, they can be lost overnight.
The way you use your money is surely a very good test of the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life. It is clear that money has a lot of power. It is very important for you to know how to use it carefully and thoughtfully.
I have seen some well respected great men of God fall because they did not handle money properly. I have seen good marriages fall apart because they did not handle the issue of money properly. I have seen great businesses crumble because of mismanagement of their finances. Knowing how to handle your money in your personal life or in your marriage will open great opportunities in your life.
As a child of God, learn to value your money and learn to work for it. When you are given as a gift, praise God and pray for those who have given you. Ordinarily, it is your duty to learn how to grow it and manage it.
Think twice about fast money. Getting money in a short cut form, you may not appreciate it. Usually it dwindles away especially if it came in dubious means.
Your use of money will surely magnify who you are. It will show your true character. Blessed you are when you maintain your character knowing that what you have belongs to God.
You should always remember not to measure your life with how much money you make or have in your bank account. Your life is far more valuable than money which is here today tomorrow it's not there.
One of the things that Jesus hated about the Pharisees was that they acted piously to get praise from people, but God knew their hearts. They considered their money as a sign of God's approval.
When you take the mentality of Pharisees, God will not be happy with you because it will cause you to abandon true spirituality. You may earn people's praise about your money, but it should not at all substitute your devotion to God.
You should make wise decisions in the financial opportunities you have not to earn heaven but to help others find Jesus. I have a few friends I know who use their money to support the needy, and they are blessed indeed.
When you use your money to help those in need, your earthly investment will bring eternal benefits. When you obey God's will, the unselfish use of possession will follow you. I have seen this and I practice it.
You know what? If you are not careful, money can easily take God's place in your life. It can become your master. Let it be your servant.
Your integrity is often put on the line in money matters. God calls you to be honest even in small details. You need to realise that heaven's riches are far more valuable than earthly wealth. Jesus said, Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.(Mat 6:20)
I challenge you today to take the opportunity of your finances very seriously and not (Lyonse fye ukupuula awe mwebantu save). Let us learn to use our finances wisely and not always use it on leisure and eating in expensive restaurants.
Love you
